Andrea heads up the Bite team with more than 20 years experience in public relations and marketing for the food, nutrition, healthcare and lifestyle sectors. Prior to establishing Bite Communications, Andrea held positions as Director of Food & Nutrition at Edelman Public Relations and Account Director at Saatchi & Saatchi’s PR arm, The Rowland Company.
Sonya is a senior account director with the Bite team and has more than 18 years experience in journalism and public relations. With a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Sonya began her career as a news journalist for Channel 9 and Channel 10. Sonya is Bite’s media relations expert and has an outstanding track record in developing and delivering strong news campaigns on behalf of our clients.
Annabel is a senior account director with more than 20 years experience, primarily in the health and lifestyle sectors. Annabel started her career in the healthcare team at Burson-Marsteller working on food and health brands such as Flora Foods, Lipton Tea and Eli Lilly. Annabel then joined Blackmores, where she worked sporadically for nearly 10 years whilst running her own freelance business. Annabel has also worked with global PR agency Edelman, and boutique health agencies Palin Communications and Reed Weir Communications.
Mrs “Mumma” Bertram
Anna “Mumma” Bertram joined the Bite team as an account director in 2012, bringing with her a wealth of experience across traditional PR, social media and communications. Prior to Bite, Anna worked at Ogilvy Public Relations where she managed campaigns for clients including Woolworths, MILO, Meat & Livestock Australia and Malaysia Kitchen. She is now the proud mother of wee Zoe & Jack Bertram.
Brooke joins the Bite team bringing more than 9 years experience working on some of Australia’s most well-known brands. Brooke spent a majority of her career with Hausmann Communications where she specialised in consumer lifestyle PR, working on brands such as AMP Capital Shopping Centres, Sony Australia, Electrolux, AEG, Westinghouse, Coca-Cola Amatil, Surf Life Saving Australia, The Star, G.H Mumm Champagne, P&G and Harvey Norman. Outside of work, Brooke loves spending time being active, wakeboarding and cooking.
Lena joined Bite as an account director following five years with Ogilvy Public Relations. Lena brings with her strong consumer and social experience, having worked with a range of brands in the travel, tech and lifestyle space, including TripAdvisor, Tourism Australia, Carnival Cruise Lines, Havaianas and Nestlé’s MILO. Sport, health and nutrition are her true passions in addition to TV presenting – Lena completed the competitive ‘The Presenter’ course at NIDA in 2012.
Rebekka is an account director and joined the Bite team in 2014, bringing with her five years experience. Before joining Bite, Rebekka worked at the Australian Paralympic Committee where she covered the London 2012 and Sochi 2014 Paralympic Games. Rebekka studied a Bachelor of Communication in Journalism at UTS and has completed a Master of Communications Law.
Jenna, aka ‘Professor Schmiddlington’, re-joins Bite with more than five years experience working across a range of clients in health, wellbeing and nutrition, including Blackmores, BioCeuticals, Nestle and Hemp Foods Australia. Jenna studied a Bachelor of Arts (Organisational Communications – Public Relations) and a Bachelor of Business Studies from Charles Sturt University, and brings with her a wealth of knowledge in health, nutrition, media, influencers & KOLs and social media.
Kate joined the Bite team in 2017 as a Senior Account Executive and was recently made an Account Manager, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in media, influencer and social media spaces. After completing a Bachelor of Communications in Journalism at UTS, Kate spent two years at Magnum & Co where she worked across a variety of sport, travel and lifestyle clients such as Red Bull, Thredbo, Oakley, JBL and Yates. Outside of work Kate is a lover of surfing, diving and outdoor adventures.
Katie made the switch to PR shortly after graduating from Charles Sturt University with a Journalism and Communications degree. After completing her studies, Katie spent two years as a PR consultant at boutique agency Llewellyn Communications before jetsetting to the Netherlands for 14 months, where she worked as a freelance writer and market research agent. Katie has worked across health, property and finance, technology and lifestyle clients.
Alana brings with her a wealth of knowledge across the arts and lifestyle industries. Her experience as a published food writer, both online and in print, greatly adds to her role as an account executive here at Bite. She has her finger on the pulse of Sydney’s thriving food scene, and is always on the lookout for the latest trend. When she’s not out and about at a food event, Alana can be found at the theatre, reviewing productions across Sydney’s main stage and independent theatres.
Claire has been with Bite for the past seven years after moving to Sydney from the UK, where she was highly sought after as both a designer and photographer. Claire is Bite’s senior designer, responsible for layout and image editing for several publications. Infographic genius.
Andrew has a wealth of experience in the digital and print production areas. For over 25 years, Andrew has been involved in the design and production of magazines, publications and video productions. Andrew personally oversees all aspects of production, art direction, digital design, broadcast productions, event management, layout, editorial liaison, sub editing, image management, colour, pre-press, printing, binding, mailing and distribution. Andrew’s production skills are highly sought after. Andrew has lectured at Enmore College in studio production and design disciplines.
Shrishti joined the Bite team in 2017 as an Account Coordinator, bringing with her experience in food and lifestyle content writing from interning at AroundYou. After graduating from UNSW with a Bachelor of Communications and Journalism, she backpacked across Europe, South-East Asia and India for 6 months. Outside of work, Shrishti loves spending her time playing soccer, swimming, and going on food adventures around Sydney.
