Supporting Royal Far West to create resilient kids
Traumatic events like a bushfire or flood can have a devastating impact on a child’s emotional wellbeing. Thanks to a grant from the Lachlan and Sarah Murdoch Foundation, Bite had an opportunity to work with Royal Far West to create the Emotional Resilience Toolkit.
Bite’s role was to collate and organise a range of clinical content developed by the Royal Far West paediatric and community trauma team and distil it into an easy-to-use resource for parents and carers. It was critical the guide was accessible for people with low literacy levels.
We created a compelling visual identity and a guide filled with playful, interactive activities and practical educational information.
The toolkit was officially launched at an event with Sarah Murdoch, Federal Member for Warringah, Zali Steggall OAM, State Member for Manly, James Griffin MP and Royal Far West CEO Jacqueline Emery. It was directly delivered to 4,000 families across NSW and available to parents and carers nationally via the Royal Far West website hub.
